Boat tour

Sail to one of the most picturesque islands in the Aegean - Symi!
Stooped in history and beauty, pictures just do not do Symi any justice - it simply has to be seen for itself…
As you sail into the horse-shoe harbour at Symi Town - the monuments along the quayside with an amphitheatre of colourful neo-classical houses built up the mountainside,  it is truly hypnotising!
With 3 hours to do as you choose, Symi Town has an array of shops selling leather goods, jewellery and of course the natural sponges Symi is famous for…
There are also plenty of restaurants too if you are feeling peckish, most offering a special of the fresh catch of the day.
For those who want to go off the beaten track, a visit to the higher town (known as the old town) is highly recommended - 
For the adventurous explorer there is an amazing marble staircase that leads to the higher and older part of the town (now a preserved heritage site) which is a very traditional Greek village and the locals love to share the secrets of the island with visitors.
On the south of the island is the famous landmark of the island - Panormitis. Set against a stunning backdrop of pine trees up the mountain, the famous Monastery of Archangel Michael sits along the quayside; this 18th century building is breath-taking and well worth a visit, with its own small chapel inside which is a place of pilgrimage for many wanting the healing blessing of the Archangel.

The Boat - Nikolaos X
There are 3 decks on the Nikolaos X:
First deck: has an inside seating area with a place to purchase refreshments and snacks, toilets, and the outside area is the smoking area (please note that smoking is not permitted unless in the designated smoking area).
Middle deck: has an outside seating area and an inside seating area with a television.
Upper deck: outside seating area only - there is a covered part for those who want some shade.
The crew is available for any assistance you may require!

Good to know…

* Your pick up time & point will be clearly displayed on your ticket.
* A member of Sigma Travel staff will escort you to the harbour in the morning and assist with the boarding procedure.

What is not included…
* Food & drink is not included in the price.
* Entry fees to Museums and/or extra activities.

Itinerary
- Passengers are collected from the pick up points (displayed on tickets) throughout the resorts of Kremasti, Ialyssos/Trianda, Ixia (taking approx. 15-25 minutes in total).
- On arrival at Mandraki Harbour, our coach will stop at a central location making it easy for you to identify your pick up point for your return departure (you will be informed of the time the coach will depart).
- Our port escort will accompany you to the boat, where you will hand your pre-boarding health declaration to the crew in exchange for a boarding card. The boarding card is your entry ticket on & off the boat at each stop (Rhodes & Symi).
-The boat departs Mandraki approximately 9am and will return approx.17:45
- The crew will inform you of the exact itinerary on the day; please listen to the announcements when made over the tannoy (they will be first in Greek and then in English, followed by other European languages). 
NB/ the time given is the time of the actual departure - please ensure to be back on the boat 15 minutes prior to this.
- You will have approximately one hour at Panormitis.
- You will have approximately three and a half hours in Symi Town.
- On return to Mandraki, make your way directly back to the coach (waiting at the pick up point) for transfer back to your resort.
- Return to resort approximately 18:00-18:20

*Your ticket is required for entry - you must present it before boarding the coach . 

*Please be at your pick-up point minimum of 10 minutes before the scheduled time - we operate an express transfer and the times are set for each resort.

* Chilren aged 2 years and under travel for free, provided they sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.

*Children of all ages must be accompanied by an adult of 18 years or over.

*Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellation made less than 24 hours before the  tour date are non-refundable.
